When Martina Peterson resigned from the Post Office
she opened a grocery store which she ran until.
She moved to Junction Utah in 1906 where she
died in 1911. She was the mother of ten children.
She pushed her eldest child Hannah, age 2 years, across
the plains in a handcart. She was married to a
Mr. Gibson in Denmark. He refused to come to Utah.
 Christian and Maria Barentsen joined the
church in Denmark. They were received in
the Manti Ward Dec. 17, 1853. They were parents
 of twelve children. Maria died Oct. 1873 and
Christian July 1880. Christian Barentsen
worked on the Manti Temple as a rock
mason.

     I declare upon honor, that if admitted to membership in this Society, I will endeavor to promote the pur-
poses of this institution and observe the Constitution and By-laws and endeavor to promote harmony and
 union in this Society.
